About the Film
‘Pata’ is a Marathi film that explores the anxieties of living in the underbelly of a bustling city, where the realities of becoming irrelevant and disappearing in the shadows are an everyday concern.
It’s set in a world where letters are becoming obsolete and the logistics and infrastructure of the India Post are being used by foreign conglomerates to deliver their own packages, thus helping them to break-even. Set just before elections, this film explores the darker sides of power relations.
Bhonsle, a Maharashtrian postman, is quickly losing everything he holds dear. He fights power, corruption and himself, while being stuck in a world that is changing rapidly.
